Entry: $50 per Team
Start Time: Friday, 02/22/08, 9:00 pm
Rules: There will be NO cap for the number of teams willing to play in the tournament. Each team MUST play a qualifying match on Misty Springs sometime during the day on Friday with your partner. A locked conditions card will be used and you must find either Jeff Harlow or myself before you play. The tournament will be capped to 32 teams for the single elimination tournament. The top 28 teams will automatically qualify for the single elimination tournament. The bottom 8 teams, after the qualifying, will play each other in match play for the final 4 spots. The bottom 8 teams will play their matches at approximately 8:00 pm Friday night, before the start of the single elimination tournament. Basically, it will be like the NIV qualifying. So, it'll be "x" teams minus 32 will play for the remaining "x" minus 32 spots. For example, if there are 38 teams, the bottom 6 teams will play the next to the last 6 teams in match play for spots 27-32. I hope I said this correctly and it makes sense. Ask Skipper if you need more help. Qualifying scores will be used for seeding purposes. Also, that really weird guy from Verhampshire will be helping with scoring...
ETA: Please change your name one of the two cards to whatever your team name is. (Whatever you want it to be...) For Example, don't put in "Team" but rather just the name. (Skipper made me do this and I don't know if it matters if we alternate cards and both just use the same name...) Basically, whatever card you play the qualifying round with, you CANNOT change the name on that card until after the doubles. Apparently, Skipper thinks this is very important, so help him out.
