Does this help you, Mr. Chesnut? Yes, absolutely. Thank you Mr. Schrump! So who stole the fucking clubs? |

I feel sorry for any regular underdogger that's been out of town. Something that gets to 30 pages this quick has to be really juicy, so you almost HAVE to
read all the pages.

So what happened to these mysterious free entries to the tournament. If this bar money went to the local qualifier then the entrys should have been paid. Now
we have 14 or more unpaid players but there is an extra 800 from the bar. Also those entrys are then prepaid local entries, so shouldn't there be an extra
150 a person from local entries not zero a person as is counted right now
Oh wait there aren't even 14 locals in the tourney, Where the fuck is the money Behind every supermodel there is a guy who is sick of her shit

OK, I'm going to say you're wrong on it's the worst cooler ever. It would be a worse cooler if it was quad aces against a board with runner runner
24 suited to make the guy's steel wheel holding 53 suited. It's much more likely someone would actually play two suited cards out of the top end, so
getting beaten by the wheel would be more of a cooler.

Thor, they pre-paid $0, and the bar graciously matched.

Don't forget about me AMJ -- matched the $0 as well. LOL
I think if Jason had put in his post about the tourney, he was running a contest and giving away an entry to the top 20 guys who played 50 or more games and he wasn't going to cover their entry -- this wouldn't be a big deal. If you look at the contest poster where he gave out the spots -- Whoever won the prize had to attend the tourney to collect what they won -- so it looks like, if only 14 of the top 20 showed up -- some of the guys forfeited their prizes from the contest. If you also look at the poster -- he paid out a cash prize, as well as the tourney spot, so it's not like he gave the tourney spots by themself as a prize. |

I had a free entry and cashed
I'm sorry to mess everything up, come to MN for our Open and I will make it up. I know between Dean and Cannon vending, we will have a great tourney, with great pay-outs. Just don't pay out purple more then a qualifier like last year. What did the Beaver say when he first had sex????????? Stop It Wally!!!! That hurts!!!! |

I actually read thru this whole thread (well almost) and finally, between Mr. Chestnut and Mr. Schrump (who got me on the lead lap
The number of free entries seems to be a sticking point, but that would seem to only create additional money on a theoretical basis. That basis being if JK had actually paid for those entries, which he evidently didn't.Personally, if I had known Russ was going to throw in an extra 750 I would have prepaid ten entries with that and gotten a bar match for them. I would still think that anyone running a tourney would have the option of how many free entries although that does seem overdone (like I know anything about live tournies). Bottom line tho, sounds like he did exactly as he said he was going to as far as finances. If the tourney was badly run, which it evidently was, that should be on JK. Because of cases like this I have never understood why each tourney doesn't buy someone like Skipper a ticket and a room and have the same guy as tournament director, at least most of the time. The above statements are not meant to indicate in any way that I have any knowledge whatsoever of the right way to do things, just a mostly outsider view of the common sense side of it. jmho |

This community's lack of ability to do basic math, see anything from a logical perception, and generally be smart freaking astounds me. The sheer magnitude of the debate of how much money "should" be in the prize pool astounds me. Chad, you're smart. You're logical, and you can do basic math. Good stuff. I'm buying all the rye you can drink next time I see you. If you'd admit Vernon cheats, you'd finally take on genius status. :-) If you disagree with Chad (in this particluar instance), you're dumb. You're illogical, and you might want to condsier a night school course. |

Your inability to realize that shady practices were used astounds me as well. If you disagree with this, you may want to take a class on ethics.

"shady practices" \= deception unless someone can prove that what was promised was not delivered.
Per Chad this has always been the norm. Now that a banger feels shorted it has become a crime. Maybe he'll ask more questions next time around and strike a better deal for himself and his brethren.

MMoutHH wrote:This is my only question and I said it back on page 25. LOL Some food for thought If Jason gave the entries away and never intended to pay them that's his perogative (don't agree but thats not what this post is about.) Then.......... Bar matched prepaid entries because that would bring them business, right, then even if the locals got in for free shouldn't the bar have matched their "entry" because it brings them business. The bar cares less how much money goes to the tourney, they want the $$$ for food and booze.... I reiterate the bar should have matched the free "entries." Maybe they did and that is the missing money, maybe they didn't and I am participating in this witch hunt.
